How Users Consent to SMS Messaging on Tee Time Social
Last updated: March 25, 2026
Tee Time Social is committed to responsible messaging practices. This page demonstrates how user consent is obtained before any SMS messages are sent through our platform.
1. Account Registration & Terms Acceptance
During account registration, users must review and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before creating an account. The Terms of Service include a dedicated SMS Messaging Disclosure (Section 3) that contains: program name (Tee Time Social), program description, message frequency disclosure, "message and data rates may apply" notice, opt-out instructions (reply STOP), and help instructions (reply HELP). The Terms also require that users only send invitations to people they personally know.

2. Tee Time Invitation Flow
Each SMS invitation is triggered by a deliberate user action. The registered user manually enters the phone number of a personal contact to invite them to a specific golf outing. Messages are not automated, bulk, or promotional.
Step 1: User initiates the invite process and sees the phone number entry screen.
Step 2: User manually types in their friend's phone number.
Step 3: Confirmation that the invite was sent successfully.
Step 4: The recipient receives a single, personalized SMS invitation with opt-out instructions (Reply STOP to opt out).
3. Recipient Opt-Out
Opt-Out Instructions: Recipients may reply STOP at any time to opt out of future messages.
Help: Reply HELP for support.
Note: Message and data rates may apply.
